ABOUT US

The Allan Messing Consultancy was founded by Allan Messing in 2000 as an independent specialist Chartered Surveying Practice based in London’s West End with an expertise in advising principally in the office sector and mainly in the South East of England. There has also been an extensive involvement over many years in the educational and medical (D1) sectors.

Prior to 2000, Allan was a Partner/Director for over 25 years in three Practices. In 1974, he joined Sinclair Goldsmith, which in 1987 became one of the first fully quoted Chartered Surveyors on the London Stock Exchange, where Allan was a director in charge of West End and Decentralised office agency. Between 1979 and 1986, he was partner in 2 firms, Richman Conway and Braham Good, continuing to advise on Central London and decentralised office agency. In early 1986, Allan returned to Sinclair Goldsmith.

In 1993, Sinclair Goldsmith merged with Conrad Ritblat and until 2000, Allan jointly headed the Central London and Decentralised Office Agency Divisions of the merged Company. He advised major clients on many large transactions in Central London and the Home Counties.

A few months after the creation of The Allan Messing Consultancy, Allan advised on one of his most notable deals, which was the acquisition of an old office building at 90 High Holborn WC1, on which clients erected a new office property, combined with a pre-letting of a major portion comprising 180,000 sq ft to Olswang (Solicitors).

Allan is a keen linguist, conversing in both French and German and has been a pilot for 29 years, flying in a twin-engined aircraft around mainland Europe. He is engaged in amateur dramatics, has two grown up daughters and has travelled extensively around Europe, America, Africa and the Far East.
